Nafessa Williams Instagram – #throwbackthursday yall these are my acting roles over the years starting from the very first one. I’m so damn grateful for the journey, for every casting director seeing me and for growth. The first couple slides I had no clue wth I was doing but I still did it fearlessly, I was hungry and focused. Even in the first slide I knew what God was gonna do in the last slide, I didn’t know exactly how but I knew. That insight is what kept me going. Looking back I’m so proud of my younger self for going for it. For trying and failing but sticking to it. Let’s go down memory lane. One Life To Live (2010) booking this job was all the confirmation I needed to keep going. 3. Brotherly Love (2013) another @jamalhill_ film shot in Philly but we had a bigger budget and strong cast. One of my favorite memories 4. The Man In 3B (2014) I learned a lot on this one and worked with some OGs. 5. True 2 The Game (2015) I had aloooot of fun playing Sahirah 6. Burning Sands (2016) Toya might be my favorite character of them all. This job marked a shift in my career. Thank you @gerard.mcmurray for the safe space you created for us. 7. Code Black (2016) learning medical jargon ain’t no hoe. I felt like I was in medical school. @mgh_8 I’ll adore you forever. 8. BLACK LIGHTNING (2017) My whole world changed! @monsieurdirector @marabrockakil I love y’all so much. I had to post this scene in particular with @charlbi143. We were so excited about this scene. R.
