After so many years pursuing one thing, it’s easy for the mind to trick you into believing that you haven’t achieved as much as you should have, that you don’t have enough to show for your efforts, and that maybe another, different path would be more attractive. But what if we are in exactly the right place? A wise, soulful new friend said to me yesterday ‘you’ll have to let go of who you have been in order to become who you are meant to be.’ Like a signpost on my long and winding path it was a message to rest, refocus, regroup and ease on down the road. I’m glad I don’t know the destination – not only does it make life more exciting, it allows me to envision the very best possible place to arrive at.
