Natalie McQueen Instagram – It’s Tony Sunday and before this crazy and exciting day begins I just wanted to take a moment to talk about my love @joshgroban.
Many of you have seen Sweeney Todd on Broadway or you’ve seen some of it online. However you have watched, you’ve seen his heartbreaking and human take on this iconic role and you’ve seen him sing this score which, shocker, is heart wrenchingly beautiful.
But…. what you don’t get to see is how kind, caring and gracious he is. Every single day.
How warm, patient, and loving he is. How passionate and driven.
You don’t get to see the months of work before he stepped into the rehearsal room. The months of work since opening the show.
The love and care he has for this role, the material, his company and the theatre community as a whole.
He is meticulous with every single performance, every single night. He doesn’t take a single moment for granted. Ever.
He gives everything he has to every show and works hard to recover to give every audience what they deserve.
Through it all he always has a smile, a witty one liner and a warm heart with everyone he meets.
He is a theatre kid who has worked hard on carving a place for himself as one of the best actors on Broadway. He is a two time Tony nominee, my best friend, my partner… and baseball coach.
To know you is to utterly head over heels love you.
There really are no words to describe how endlessly proud I am of you.
