Rachel Riley Instagram – I just spent a wonderful afternoon in the company of the Iranian Liberty Association (ILA) where I had the privilege of addressing the assembled crowd and voicing my support for Iranian people. As well as a joint celebration of Persian New Year (NoRuz), Easter, Passover and Eid, we commemorated the lives of many young people murdered by the heinous IRGC regime. Whilst we were there, a state of high alert was announced in Israel with an imminent threat of attack from Iran. Iran has since launched missiles towards Israel that US have intercepted in Iraq and Syria. This regime and its proxies have caused so much death and misery in the Middle East and beyond, thinking of all those affected right now and grateful to all the people who risk their lives in pursuit of freedom, democracy and human rights. We all owe them a debt. #WomanLifeFreedom #AmYisraelChai
Rachel Riley Instagram – A real honour last night to have been given two @womensawards for ‘Inspirational Mentor’ and ‘Most Inspirational’ in the Public Eye, for raising awareness around Holocaust education and against antisemitism in general. Especially meaningful at times like these and whilst wearing the @bringhomenow yellow ribbon for the 134 hostages who still need to come home. Some of the stories we heard from other winners, from surviving domestic abuse, modern slavery and sex trafficking, to battling multiple bouts of cancer whilst caring for a young family, and using such adversity to help others, were nothing short of incredible. A privilege to be in such good company. And lovely to share it with my family. Big thanks to Sky Andrew and the team at the Inspiration Awards for Women for your support, amazing to have gone from being in awe of the women I presented awards to over a decade ago, to having them be presented to me now,m ☺️ I hope you raised a huge amount for @planinternational. 💗🌍👧🏾🧒🏽🧕 #inspirationalwomen #awards #womeninspiringwomen #womensupportwomen
