Most of his herd unsurprisingly died. We have now lived like family for 7 years…coming and going as they please. No ‘spooky’ business equestrians talk about, simply because they are raised without demands or fear, free to roam as they please with the herd, of which we are part of to them..✨ When we meet animals regardless of the ‘breed’ or their ‘potential’ with no agenda and with respect and patience they have the ability, if they deem us worthy, to grant us passage through an invisible portal into a world that most can only imagine in our dreams. ✨ This inexplicable gift will always outweigh any medal or accolade. There simply is no greater reward or honour than knowing this love…. And the moral of the story is… when we learn to learn to live and let live… and treat all beings as equals, the story of supremacy, slavery and suffering will finally come to an end. Rhona Mitra Instagram – So whats the connection between my dedication to fighting for the welfare of sentients and my support for the victims enduring the genocide we are all witnessing? If you havent put it together its a deep sense of duty to be a voice for the innocents and the voiceless. To excavate the root cause of the virus that is running amok throughout the human race, identify it and alchemize the poison. For many years now I have been studying the correlation between the normalized, accepted and even revered violence towards animals and our deeply imbedded and covert psychopathy as a species and how we teach/train our young to become the perpetrators of more violence in our homes and in society. By encouraging and allowing the glorification of the subjugation and torture of an animal for the entertainment and ego of an antiquated sector of a culture that was once born on its enviable partnership with horses, to be diminished to this disgusting display of macho faux heroism guised as skilled ‘horsemanship’ or ‘taming’ is an abhorrence and disgrace not only to the true nature of horsemanship and the centuries long service that horses have shared with mankind but to society itself. By taking part in or attending these events in this case ‘semana criolla’ you are complicit in perpetuating the toxic psychopathy that bleeds into every corner of life from domestic violence to the subjugation of animals and humans en mass. What we normalize for our children is what they believe to be acceptable and what they too will perpetuate and become. All of these ‘traditions’ need to come to an end. From Rodeos to horse racing,Polo, Hunting, Dressage and Showjumping. Using animals for ego, medals, money and humor has to stop 🛑 Jineteada gaucha or doma gaucha is a traditional sport in the gaucho culture of Argentina,Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Brazil. The objective is for the rider to stay on an untamed horse for a number of seconds.. in Uruguay a law was enacted in 2006 establishing it as the National sport. In Argentina it may be considered a part of the national intangible cultural heritage. Our charge/challenge? Find a new tradition. A far kinder one. @montevideoim shame
