Rhona Mitra Instagram – Due to several nudges up the backside from my equine family… and after many years of procrastination… On May 17th- 19th 2024 @thelastarkorphanage will host its first event ‘A Kinder Way’ of partnering with land and horse 🐴 🌱 🐴 10 years ago to the month I made a promise to a horse I met in Patagonia. A promise that I would create a space where their kind would be honored and respected so man could come and listen to what they have to teach us if we are willing. Its been a trajectory that has irreversibly and inexplicably altered my life in every way imaginable.. So after years of hurdles and tests to be able to finally hand the land and the horses over to my very dear friends @cristobal_scarpati @oscar.scarpati who I flew to meet in Argentina also in 2014 to learn more about ‘Doma India’ and their profound relationship with horses is a huge milestone and blessing ✨ @scarpatidomaindia are a family who have dedicated their lives to connecting man and horse through means of mutual respect, trust and understanding 🍃 A process that goes on to affect all areas of our lives and how we treat each other, the planet and our animal family members at large🩶 All our horses are rescued and Rewilded and a big part of the story and healing has been ours and their relationship with the land 🌱 Holistic land management practices and the knowledge of native grasses and ecosystems has been paramount☘️ So, its an honour to also include Marcelo Pereira Machín professor of natural pastures as our special guest 🌿 If you have felt uncomfortable with mans past and current trajectory of perpetuating dominance and subjugation or the traditional ‘breaking’ and ‘riding’ methods most of us were raised with, and feel called to explore ‘another way…’ a ‘kinder way… ‘then please follow the link in my bio and read more about the event 🍄‍🟫 We have limited capacity and the event will be Spanish speaking 🇺🇾 Please note we reserve the right to admission.
