Roxy Striar Instagram – Days matters. In this first photo I had a 103 fever and my mom was taking care of me. In the second photo she was giving me flowers after my first recital. In the third photo she is celebrating my 4th birthday with me. In the fourth photo she is taking me camping as my Girl Scout troop leader. In the fifth photo we are celebrating Grammy’s (her mom) 80th birthday. In the sixth photo we are in my grandparent’s backyard while she and my dad renewed their vows. In the seventh photo she was on chemo and still flew to visit me for parent’s weekend at USC. She was gone 7 months later. The point is, every day counts. And the greatest gift money can buy is time. In the eighth photo my sister is having me walk in the National Brain Tumor Society walk a decade ago. And now, I started a team in LA and I’m walking a 5k for @natlbraintumorsociety on 4/20 to try and give every person with a brain tumor as many days as possible. And we will keep fundraising until there is a cure! But that takes research and research costs money. So help support if you can! $5, $10, every dollar counts. The tenth slide is my family group chat, which each of us would give anything to have my mom in. My little sister was informing us of a positive glioblastoma (the type of brain cancer my mom had) study at mass general hospital. They are making progress everyday and we can be a part of that.
