Arto Saari Instagram – I grew up in Seinäjoki Finland where the city center is designed by the great Alvar Aalto.His design and aesthetic has always had an effect on me.When I rode my bike through town I would check out all different materials he used ,angles and lines of the buildings,specially stairs and handrails.Always looking for something that would compliment skateboarding,at the time I had no idea that he designed and built the first free form pool in Villa Mairea Finland 1939.
40 years later it is with great pleasure and honor to say I have a photo exhibition opening on May 18th @aalto2museum in Jyväskylä Finland.
I will be showing some of my favorite photos I made over the years in skateboarding and a few surf pictures.
