WINGS OF DUST focuses on Vidal Merma, an Indigenous independent journalist fighting for these very rights in his home province of Espinar/Cusco in Peru. Everything Vidal does is out of love for his son, Erik, for the Quechua people, and their infinite love for Pachamama (Mother Earth). A love for the land so deep that he risks his own life to defend it.
