Chris Hardwick Instagram – Man this is still very surreal. I first met Sam in the 90s when he came to cover Singled Out while we were shooting episodes at the MTV Beach House. He was so nice, fun, self-deprecating, and funny. Over the years every encounter I had with him was the same and I always looked forward to getting to see him. He was also always gracious and kind to my mom and to Lydia and they adored him as well.
This photo was taken just a few months ago, and this is how I remember him. Having fun, being silly, and doing bits. He had come back to the dressing room before the segment just to say hi and ask how the family was doing. Granted, he must have had a busy day with tons of stuff to do, but talked to me for over 20 min just to catch up. I wish he could see the outpouring of love and appreciation for him, and understand the positive impact he had on the world. He was a kind soul, and the entertainment business just won’t be the same without him.
