I didn’t think I’d be this devastated because I know he was getting up in age and I spent 14 wonderful years with him , he was the most amazing sweet and gentle little boy . Our pets are family members , i’m sorry y’all might wanna put me on mute for a while because I’ve got to get this all out. Through therapy I’ve learned not to internalize everything so I don’t know how long I will be externally, sharing my grief, but I know those of you who’ve experienced. This will totally understand. Often when you go to gigs and work with other Headliners there’s little to no interaction, but working with the multi talented @dhernandezmusic was a dream come true. I’m gonna say it because I can and I promised myself in 2024 I would no longer downplay myself, my art and my ability to bring to life on stage the vision of how I see some of my favorite artist be @Prince or @janetjackson , always authentically love and respect their art, and their contribution to music ,so I’m very meticulous about how I portrayed them. As a tribute artist, although, having a resemblance is a plus, the main thing is about embodying their aura and their loving passion and for those who will never get a chance to see them in person your job is to make them feel.As if they did experience them in person. There’s always a lot to say and criticism from the general public and sometimes your peers who could never do what you do but it’s totally ok let them off the hook and keep spreading love and acceptance. Let people relive their teenage or young adult years through your performances and remember if you’re doing it from the heart, nothing else matters! I’d like to thank my central Florida Dancers who I’m hoping and praying can travel the globe with me. @codylanphere @theamalbryson @devinr_15 @shawn_deroche for working around the clock to put together a 30 min show in a such a short timespan . Devin your are a jewel. When I told you, I didn’t want to copy the choreography you took on the task and created an amazing tribute to the Queen JANET for the show. @djscottrobert not only editing the audio, but putting together the visual clips from my favorite moments on the countless times I’ve seen the together again tour last summer, throughout our Disney days and more we’ve been friends 30 years and I’m proud to call you family. To @tampaprideofficial thank you for allowing me to entertain you and come back home to do it!!! ILOVE YOU ALL AND ENJOY THESE NEXT FEW CLIPS , if you truly like them, feel free to repost and tag me and them. And for all those other artists out there how you choose to portray your art is your business and if you want to pay tribute to those artists who touch and inspire you do it, you don’t have to look like them too honor them.
