Cory Booker Instagram – 12 years ago today, Barack Obama became the first President in American history to publicly support gay marriage. Six years earlier, when I became Mayor of Newark, I wanted to make sure ALL of our citizens felt like they were heard and seen, so I raised the pride flag at city hall in solidarity with Newark’s LGBTQ community.
