Love Lies Bleeding is destined to be a cult classic.
With a feeling of early Cohen Bros and a bit of David Lynch, this film leapfrogs modern traditional thrillers, with a decent dose of absurdity, which highlights reality as opposed to distancing. The acting is perfect .. love Kristen Stewart (duh), Katy O’Brian is phenomenal, and the scene stealing turn from Anna Baryshnikov !! Plus Ed Harris is 👌
The script is tight, brimming with suspense, and well placed laughs. The music is perfect, Clint Mansell is a CHOICE. The cinematography is exquisite. Overall, Rose Glass has slayed this incredible film with a vision that’s unique and compelling, and destined to be around for a long time. @a24 does it again.
