Chef Jacques Torres is a master pastry chef and a chocolatier from France, who also appears as a head judge on Netflix’s *Nailed it!* His love for pastries and chocolate started young, as he began his apprenticeship at fifteen in a local shop. In 1980, he began working for Jacques Maximin, a two-star Michelin chef. He then moved to the US where he worked as an executive pastry chef, dean of pastry arts, and owner of one of the most successful chocolate factories in America. In his impressive resume, chef Jacques won multiple awards including James Beard Award for Pastry Chef of the Year, Meilleur Ouvrier de France (A French competition for craftsmanship held every four years. Kind of like a world cup of skills!), and much more that I did not list.
