Last week on International Firefighters Day, I had the honour of attending @learyfirefighters 8th annual firefighter challenge event at @fdny Academy “The Rock”. Instructors took a variety of celebrities, donors and firefighters (which I am lucky to now call myself) through a series of training evolutions and live fire drills. It was wonderful to pick the brains of amazing instructors and experience such an excellent facility, which has everything a firefighter could imagine, including its own mock up subway station and now (thanks to the Leary Foundation) a high rise simulator. @learyfirefighters does incredible work all across the country, quickly turning cash into much needed equipment to plug the holes in underfunded departments. Making sure that when you need someone in your darkest hour, they will be ready. Thank you @denisleary @learyfirefighters @fdnyfoundation @bobby1960 and all the staff and instructors who showed us such expertise, humor and respect. ♥️
