Jon is a good man.
The world needs more good men and women in politics, who look past the nonsense and care little for accumulating power, and simply want to do good, better the lives of their citizens, and help those in need.
Jon pledges to “stand for joy, work for joy, and offer joy and surprise with joy.”
Beginning in 2008, Iceland experienced the largest relative systemic banking collapse anywhere in economic history, along with a dramatic crash of Iceland’s currency, and the loss of 90% of the national stock market’s value. The Icelandic people, like many others around the world, had been betrayed by their business and political leaders, who loaded up banks with debt and looted the economy while the people trusted them to minimize risk and protect the welfare of everyday citizens. Iceland faced a severe economic depression.
Jon is a comedian by trade, who first founded the Best Party with other non-political friends in 2009.
