Mehcad Brooks Instagram – Sometimes I speak to the optimized version of my future self, and I ask him what he did to get to where he is at in his now. And he listens, he’s often amused and his responses are always so simple, divinely grounded, compassionate and purposeful. I’m humbled to say, that he is my mentor.
The first time I connected with him, his voice surprised me, and he said, “I’m glad you remembered you can do this.” His words were chosen carefully. He emphasized “YOU”. Implying there’s an infinite versions of me, all vying for their optimal positions and here I was taking full advantage of this fold in space time. He was pleased and also was expected me. ✨
The word “remember” was pointed as well. He wanted me to understand that it’s within my ability to link my entire timeline and that I have the ability to “re-member” all the parts of me. A holistic perspective of my entire life’s journey while on that journey. Physically, metaphysically and spiritually.
Just as I can heal my past and communicate to the child who was/is scared and hurt, the teenager that was/is overwhelmed with grief and anxiety, the young man who was/is betrayed and misunderstood, I can reach out to my future self, the old wiseman, who’s heard all of their cries, known all of their stories and healed them through dedicating hisself to being the fullest and optimal expression of their experiences, their lessons, their joy and their gifts gained through that journey.
Maybe, when we feel that pull beyond our expectations, our comfort and our comprehension, that magical magnetic force, that #quantumentanglement on a molecular level, it’s our future self steering us towards our optimization from this point on our journey that we refer to as “now”.
Maybe it’s you, guiding you to your own personal and collective destiny. Maybe the world needs you to listen to that voice, to not resist that pull, to accept the molecular attraction the cells in your body (which is the space) have to the you inhabiting another “now” (which is the time).
