Morgxn Instagram – I’ve been writing songs “professionally” for at least 15 years.
Over the last few years I’ve been feeling more and more hopeless as an artist in this modern world. More and more disconnected on the internet. And more into the ways I can enjoy my life – which sometimes means I just don’t think the internet has any “use” for me.
And then this boy’s mother sent me this video and thanked me for this song. She gave me permission to share his dance that he danced for the song that he picked.
He’s 12 and this is his first dance competition this year and he won a special award for it. But I wish I could send him a million awards just for showing up and for reminding me what is truly vital in this world.
This to me is the pinnacle of why I make art.
This is why I sing.
