Labour can’t justify expelling Jeremy Corbyn for accepting our donation when they’ve let 30 other Labour candidates take the same kind of donation. It’s rank hypocrisy.
Lib Dem peer Lord Oakshott gave £600,000 to 30 Labour, 15 Liberal Democrat candidates and Caroline Lucas in 2015. None of the 30 Labour candidates were subjected to any disciplinary process so there are no grounds for action against Jeremy Corbyn for accepting a donation from us.
A £5,000 donation from a people-powered movement funded by small donations is beyond the pale in Starmer’s Labour, which is bankrolled by corporate lobbyists, including private healthcare, financial services firms, the gambling industry and climate sceptics.
