Pierre Abena Instagram – Dealing with grief as an adult can be challenging, but there are healthy ways to cope with the loss of someone you love. Whether it is due to a breakup, ending a friendship or the passing of a loved one, grief can take a toll on us emotionally and physically.

Even if it was many years ago, I still have ways to cope with the loss of my mom when I was young. Over time, I had to find deep strength and recognize how grief was showing up in my life. I had to find myself and find solutions to deal with what I was experiencing.

If any of you are going through something similar, I can share a few things that have helped me.

Exercise – the perfect healthy outlet to release negative energy/thoughts and maintain a sense of control during difficult times
Therapy – a professional can definitely give you insights and tools to understand and navigate your feelings. They can help you understand how grief manifests itself in your life and how to heal
Connect – with friends and family who love you. It is a blessing to have people in your life you can lean on when you feel down
