Raúl Castillo Instagram – In 2022, I joined Covenant House as an advocate for youth overcoming homelessness and survivors of human trafficking in the U.S. and Latin America, and since then I have recorded several PSAs stating that no young person should ever have to worry about having a safe place to sleep, or a warm meal to eat, or whether anyone cares about them.
Covenant House is in Mexico City, and recently it caught my eye that a young boy who is the same age as some of the residents living at Covenant House Mexico donated his first communion gifts to purchase sneakers for all of the youth at the shelter. It moved me to see this type of love and kindness from a child, especially in my beloved Mexico.
Today, I am matching Joaquin’s donation to Covenant House.Their work with young people is so important and life-affirming. When homeless youth experience love, they can overcome heartbreaking challenges and transform their lives.

Covenant House Mexico received a special donation this spring — instead of gifts for his first communion, Joaquín raised funds for Covenant House and bought new sneakers for all the residents!
In addition to residential care, our site in Mexico provides street outreach, independent and transitional living, and family reintegration programs.
