昨年3月28日に永眠された坂本龍一さんは、1978 年のデビュー以来“教授”の愛称で親しまれ、音楽家としても一人の人間としても、世界中に大きな影響を与えてきた。
「ビッグイシュー」の表紙・スペシャルインタビューにも、これまで２回登場いただいた（106 号、236 号）。
今回のスペシャル企画では、その音楽性だけでなく、坂本さんが社会的活動によって残したレガシーにも迫る。
まずは、闘病中の坂本さんが最後の力を振り絞って演奏した、最初で最後の長編コンサート映画について、監督の空音央さんに話を聞いた。
また、「次の世代に美しいバトンを渡したい」と、脱原発、森林保全、被災地支援など、多岐にわたる社会的活動に力を注いできた坂本さんと活動をともにした方々に話を聞いた。

Featuring Ryuichi Sakamoto
Ryuichi Sakamoto passed away on March 28th of last year. Since his debut in 1978, he has been affectionately known as “Professor” and has inspired the world greatly as a musician and a person.
He has been interviewed and appeared on the cover of “The Big Issue” twice previously (No. 106 and 236).
In this project, we will explore Sakamoto’s musicality and the legacy he left behind through his social activities.
First, we spoke to the director, Neo Sora, about Sakamoto’s last full-length concert film, in which he performed with dwindling strength while battling illness. The issue also covers interviews with people who have worked with Sakamoto.
Sakamoto focused on various social activities, such as nuclear power phase-out, forest preservation, and supporting disaster-affected areas.
Sakamoto said, “I want to pass a beautiful baton to the next generation.”
