Sara Ramirez Instagram – Last night @actupny disrupted the @glaad awards in the best way possible. GLAAD is well known in the LGBTQAI community to be problematic, akin to an organic food stamp with no restrictions on what makes it so. In the past 7 months of this genocide, GLAAD has not only remained silent but partnered with union busting companies such as Google, Amazon, Starbucks, Coco-Cola, and dozens more. They have also aligned themselves with the ADL, who unapologetically brags about having their hooks in Silicon Valley companies including Meta and X (formerly twitter). ACTUP is in a way a parent organization of GLAAD (Vito Russo), and as such feels a deep responsibility to hold them accountable. The demands are to cut ties with the ADL and union busting companies, and to speak up for Queer Palestinians, who are not spared from the bombs our tax dollars fund.
