Todd Kerns Instagram – A couple of Kerns’, a couple of Fitzes and one of the most underrated guitar players on the planet, Mr. @mikemccreadypj We had an amazing time at the @pearljam show last night in Vegas. What a show. What a crowd. The band has one of the most loyal and passionate followings I’ve ever witnessed. Their crowd know the words to every single song of the set. Even the newest ones from Dark Matter the new album. I first saw PJ on the 1992 Lollapalooza tour. It was the second Lollapalooza tour and PJ were the gigantic new kids. Ten was such a massive game changer of an album. Of course I have been with @stonecarpentergossard and @jeffamentsarmy since Mother Love Bone. One of my all time fave bands. On that same Lolapalooza show was another breakout band called Soundgarden. Their drummer, @themattcameron is now in Pearl Jam and is one of the most understated and masterful players on the planet. As Mr Vedder said last night, “To call Matt Cameron the greatest drummer in the world he’d still be underrated”. Mike McCready tore the roof off the place last night and it made me wonder why I don’t hear more about what a monster player he is. Jeff Ament is one of my bass guitar heroes. The fretless, the 12 string, there’s little he can’t do. Of course, @eddievedder is one of the greatest frontmen of all time. He complained of a weak voice though I would never know. He was as powerful and as on pitch as ever. He’s one of those Bono level frontmen who has the crowd in the palm of his hand from song 1. I’m happy we got to share our anniversary with the great Pearl Jam. Plus we got to go with @chrissydfitz and @brentfitz for a fun evening out. Thank you for being amazing, Mike and the lads.
