Tom Prior Instagram – How can we fundamentally change our minds? Why is it so hard change?
Albert Einstein said, “You cannot solve a problem with the same level of consciousness that created it.”
So how can we ever ‘solve’ our problems with that same consciousness/mind? Well, we can’t.
Our living day to day reality is listening to the ego thinking mind (aka the thoughts in your head). And that ego mind is rigged to fail. That’s why the problems we have don’t actually ever seem to be solved. They can change in angle 📐 but we wind up back where we started… “this always happens to me… what is wrong with me… I can’t change” We make a ‘plan’ with the ego mind – to ‘fix’ the problem. But we continue to use that same mind which creates the problem.
So how do we change?
We choose another mind. We have a split mind. Ego mind. Or. SPIRIT mind. The only real choice we have in life is which mind we pick. And that’s it.
When we choose SPIRIT mind, we are taking responsibility and handing our problems over to divine power. God / Buddha / The Universe / Unconditional Love / Jesus / Allah whatever your faith ‘cheat code’ is. When we get on our knees and say ‘I can’t do this anymore’. Divinity takes over and we start choosing Spirit mind. That is where our prayers are truly answered. When we stop trying to fix it from the ego mind. When we connect with Spirit Mind – we are asking for our perception error of all the ‘problems’ in our life to be healed. Choosing Spirit mind is a ‘cheat code’ back to unconditional love, back to the present moment. Thinking subsides. And we arrive back into truth – right here, right now.
My life has been filled with the most phenomenal changes and healings in the mind since I have made a commitment to choosing Spirit mindedness (Holy Spirit). And thus when the mind is healed. Our life (our dream) changes to match that.
So we can say, I choose again – I choose to see this differently. I choose to step back and ask for our faith to be deepened, to be healed, to connect to Spirit Mind / Universe / God. We can’t do this alone. And we are never alone. Let me recognise all my problems have already been solved.
