Alicia Witt Instagram – it would be impossible to guess how many times i had the honor of sitting here across from the inimitable @samontv at @ktla5news. just yesterday morning, i was informed that my first confirmed interview while in LA for the premiere of @longlegsfilm would be with him – which is no surprise. sam was everyone’s first stop when coming thru town, a favorite and familiar and joyful place to be. he knew just what to ask and always made you feel special – and truly loved his job. sam’s respect and admiration for entertainers and not only what we do, but our often-whirlwind lives, shone thru his very essence, and i always left an interview with him feeling all glowy, seen, and appreciated. whether i was there to promote my earliest music releases, or a tiny indie screening in 2 theaters, or a huge movie – he was equally passionate and enthusiastic, a champion in every way. i hope he knew the extent to which we all felt that way about him – and i’m sure he did ❤️ i can’t believe he is gone. sending love to his family, and his KTLA family. thank you for the memories, beautiful #samrubin. you’ll be so missed. #ktla5news #ktlamorningnews @ktlamorningnews
