Amanda Brugel Instagram – We finally got to visit my sister. I could provide a longer backstory about how I only found her five years ago, but all that needs to be said is that she is my sister. Our eyes, cheekbones, humour, forthrightness and vocabulary tell the whole ridiculous tale and then some. So, after lockdowns and work obligations, I finally got to take my whole family to meet…my family. Thank you @ericabrugel for, as always, being the protective younger but older sister, courageously leading my hand the entire time. Thank you, Cousin Karen for facilitating the most surreal and magical taco night of my entire life. Thank you to my new cousins and nephew and brother and extended kin for accepting us with arms wide open. I was 20 when I learned of you. Thank you for the 26 year old impossible dream made true.
