I grew up on the Texas coast…Rockport, Corpus Christi, South Padre Island…I took these million dollar views for granted. At the time I thought Texas was the armpit of the world and I just wanted to get to LONDON/PARIS/NYC/ROME already.
Well, time marches on, priorities shift, and I find myself filled with gratitude today to bring my kids back to where it all started. These epic beaches (a warm 80f in November) are now a source of wonder for me. Yes we had to dodge the jellyfish and keep kids out of the sand dunes because #rattlesnakes …it’s Texas dude… but what a beautiful day.
The ocean will always be my favourite place to be.

💜💜 Small Farmer Appreciation Post 💜💜
Last night I was honoured to be at the premiere of COMMON GROUND, a new documentary about
🌱 our soil
👨🌾 our farmers
🏥 our health
..and how “Big Agriculture” ☠️💊 continues ravage and exploit all three.
My pal @adriangrenier and others are spreading the word about this worthy cause. Adrian and his lovely wife Jordan @jordanrgrenier walk the talk (and sweat in the Texas heat!) to practice regenerative farming.
Even if we only have a window box to grow herbs and a couple tomatoes IT IS POSSIBLE to grow our own beautiful food, become more self-reliant, and most importantly, to teach the next generation that our soil is a precious, complex treasure to be appreciated and protected.
We can’t let our small farmers continue to be squashed by Big Ag and their greedy practices. You’ll be shocked at the sneaky back-handed stuff these guys get up to. I mean they are literally infiltrating our education system to promote a cycle of illness and land wastage!…and it’s making them BILLIONS 💰💰💰💰

Anthony and I have two wedding anniversaries. The first we eloped to a public registry in London , and the second was a year later at a big Catholic cathedral BECAUSE we had eloped at a registry. Being the eldest and only daughter of a Catholic family …well let’s just say my mom felt like we were actually finally married after that 😉
But we tend to only celebrate our first one in September. This December one almost always catches us by surprise (see 2nd slide). Oh well, we caught it before the day was over so WIN! Love you @miniateam . Thanks for still chasing my butt after all these years 💜

Happy 2024! I know, I know, I’m two days late already AND I’m just lazily swiping this post from the marvellous and dedicated Laura who runs a page with my goofy mug on it. I should now say something about making a resolution to post more here and just be generally BETTER at social media…but…I’m already committed to #dryjanuary so I feel like I’ve hit max level of discipline and goal setting for the year. Ok cheers (with water) and I love you all and I genuinely hope you’re happy. Like for real. 💜💜💜 (Thx @amybaileyfans for still faithfully finding and posting stuff even though I’m a hermit crab who scuttles away from cameras… 😬)
It’s almost November and I’m the worst at posting so here’s a backbend – ok gotta get back to cleaning up my kid’s play-doh that turned into glue because he poured liquid onto it and then smeared it all over the table and floor 🏆
Some strong words on personal hygiene from our youngest. In summary, BRUSH YOUR TOOF OR DIE. (He was 3 here…you can tell we’re a theatre family because of course MACAVITIES …iykyk 😻… and he had also just been hearing his older brother rant about dying in Minecraft, hence “like Atticus died”.)
My sweet spot…the theatre 😍🥰😍 I was on the stage by 5yrs old and just can’t seem to stay away. I love the feel, the smell, the sounds of backstage. The bright lights that blind you as you pass through the dark wings to be then greeted by the energy of a live audience. Nothing like it. I’ve taken a long break from performing onstage but looking forward to returning soon. And I’ll be doing it til I’m 90 if the fates allow. Wishing my dancers a beautiful dress rehearsal and show week. Love you all! 💜
