Amy King Instagram – Saturday night a tornado ripped through our hometown. We have spent the last 2 days spending every waking minute with our honey and T loading everything we possibly can of what’s left of their counseling office. I was in the truck with @teba_5278 headed to get boxes and tubs and she said to me “ ya know Amy, this is all just stuff and stuff doesn’t really matter. You can replace all the stuff. Money doesn’t make you happy . What matters is I have my family, and the people I love the most. “ I thought to myself … Wow! such wise words to remember when we are really going through the fire. Here she is seeing her building destroyed ,pictures, books, memories, and everything she has worked so hard to accomplish – just gone. She’s being squeezed right now like so many in NWA . I’ve seen insane damage!! There are buildings that are hardly recognizable in some places. There are huge trees in the middle of living rooms and semi trucks flipped over, roofs blown off homes and beautiful cars completely totaled. Just remember if you are one of many that are local that is suffering that “stuff “ can be replaced. I can’t imagine how hard it must be, but try to remember that happiness is not found in material things. My heart goes out to all of those who are hurting, displaced, stressed and broken hearted. 💛 #nwastrong 🌪️
