✨ Trust the Process ✨
Birthday trip to Thailand, part 1 🌅 Rawai, Phuket
Eleven days at a gorgeous villa with a waterfall, *3* outdoor showers (and a third bathroom we didn’t discover until the last day,) stunning sunsets, Big Buddha, incredible temples, scooter rides and views on views on views. Also, some of the most direct conversations with God while on the back of said scooter in traffic- talk about trust, faith, and surrendering the illusion of control. Ha!
Speaking of which! Not pictured? The seven physical plagues which descended immediately upon my arrival. I’ll spare you the details but suffice to say I am brand new! (And cleansed through and through 🙂)
On my actual birthday I was granted some temporary relief and swam 35 laps for each year of my life. It was a profound process where I thought through the years and sent myself love and support.
Imagining baby Stasia, remembering immigrating, starting to work, the emo teenage years, the transformative 20’s- the happiest and scariest days I’ve lived thus far. There was so much to celebrate and be grateful for and there were also years in the wilderness. Excruciating heartbreak, devastating loss, seemingly endless grief. To be on the other side of those challenging moments and dark days, in paradise, in love, more settled into who I am, with people in my life who love me exactly as I am- I could confidently tell my younger self it’s going to be OK. Actually, it’ll be more than OK. It’ll be better than I could have even imagined it!
It was an intentional and powerful experience, marking a new phase of my life. Not just a new chapter, but a whole new book filled with many more new chapters to come. 10 stars, highly recommend!
