what’s the wildest thing you have ever done after a breakup?
this is a story about a spontaneous desire to runaway to a circus.
the whole journey began with my love for face painting and circus (both art forms where you *become* the art). a few years ago, when i went through a chapter of heartbreak, i set out on a road trip across the country to heal my heart and to see the final barnum and bailey circus show of all time. this journey inspired me to visit other circuses across the country including @flynncreekcircus, who i was lucky enough to collaborate with for the film.
i teamed up with extraordinarily talented @al.ex.knell to help me creatively produce and edit the film, as well as producing duo of dreams @theothersamfox and @desireestaples.
cinematographer @alexnaufel framed every angle with artistry, and my face/body paint mentor @christopheragostino graced us with his talents for the stop motion animated body paint sequences.

our incredible cast embodied egalitarian circus ethos on and offset (@lost.daughter.music, @ramonabishyoung, @philipsmithey)
and music from @jasonlessermusic, @mamusemusic, and @ohtisband paints the soundscape with magic.
after an epic film festival tour (championed early on by @tribeca and @weareonegff for whom i am forever grateful), i am so excited to share this 17 minute self-portrait on film with you all.

this film is about radical sisterhood and facing heartbreak with wild abandon.
turns out @drewbarrymore also took a cross country road trip after a heartbreak. and to release the film today on a full moon with our high-five feels just right.
