⚖️ I don’t even know why we have to debate it. Intimate Partner Violence IS an Epidemic which permeates through the entire community, harming more than just the victims & survivors.
Yesterday, the Ontario Legislative House did something they rarely do: all Members stood in ovation to support Bill 173- declare IPV an Epidemic.
This is ONE giant step forward after 6 years of Government silence on this death causing manner. They moved, because of your help. 💜🥹😭🙏
We have one more reading & we can finally vote to pass this as law. NOW we MUST show the Government we really care, to protect people still in the struggle, honor those lives needlessly taken.
Please understand this is NOT a partisan issue; it’s a human rights issue. It does not matter what party you’re from, with or supporting.
We need to TELL the Government that we want Bill 173 to pass so we more rapidly change laws related to #IPV #SA & protect families, children & the community from the disease of abuse & violence.
