Caitlin V Instagram – Great sex doesn’t look like the movies, especially p*rn.. As a kid, I always thought that women kept their bras on during sex, because that’s how it always appeared in the 1990s movies that I grew up watching. And even today, there’s a recipe for how we see people being intimate on screen, they make out for a few seconds, and then supposedly there’s penetration, the man orgasms, and then they both fall back and they take a deep breath together. It never requires communication or consent. The movies make is seem like it always happens very easily and naturally and do not even get me started on porn (which is actually more unrealistic than those 90s movies). It’s actually smoke and mirrors and lots of rehearsals. It’s not real. Sex REQUIRES communication, consent, and creativity. What are some things you learned from the movies that are completely false?
