Carly Pope Instagram – Sam Rubin was one of the first live on-camera interviews I’d ever done, back in #Popular days, nearly 25 years ago. I’d see him at industry events over the years, and he was always so jovial, kind, and not-so-surprisingly connected to everyone. He loved his work, he loved the entertainment industry. I had the privilege of speaking to him anew in 2021 when I was promoting #Demonic and he, again, was a slightly scampy and thoroughly gracious host. I am so saddened to hear that he has passed and is gone too utterly soon. The industry has lost a real light. Unfillable shoes, as they were built for him/by him. My heart goes out to his family, his on-air family, and the countless friends he made along the way. Rest, Sam, thank you for you ✨
