“When I first saw this documentary film, it was a catalyst of inspiration for me to tell stories that shed light on the disparities of Black people’s journey through this world. The way the subject of mass incarceration was approached in this project was wonderfully done. Beautifully shot interviews!
Lovecraft Country is so revolutionary to me. I was so engrossed in the pilot episode because of the strong characters and dynamic storytelling. Fusing together social issues with the sci-fi genre in storytelling is my favorite thing. I desire to make a project as impactful within the genre. Compelling performance. Strong story elements.
