“Kim Do-young directs some utterly heart-wrenching performances that at the very least will have you wanting to call your mom to tell her you love her. I’m a big fan of slow-burn human portraits, and this one does a beautiful job of depicting how we all play a part in perpetuating sexism, whether consciously or not, in a very nuanced yet deeply emotive way.
