Claire Hooper Instagram – I’m floored to receive the Piece of Wood Award today.
It was a complete blindside and I didn’t have the presence of mind at the podium to say thank you, let alone mention my long suffering husband and good friend, Wade Duffin, and the fact that it’s our 16 year wedding anniversary today. And I didn’t mention the beautiful mate who’s the only reason I’ve been able to keep doing this job and who I miss so much.
Thank you to her, and to my husband, and to the Wood folks for letting me in their weird club, to my loves at Token, and the Festival, and to all the incredible comedians and producers who inspire me and support me and make me proud to be part of this community. (Especially @nic_minstergram, @livelaughlauren__, @teen_zhangst, @bronlewiscomedy and the Newcomer Nominated @lozdriz who were such a joy to work with this Festival).
