On June 28, 2009, Stephen Hawking sat alone in a college at the University of Cambridge and waited patiently for party guests to arrive, but not one of them showed up.
Hawking didn’t send out any of the invitations until after the reception had passed, which was a critical component of the experimental design: Only those who could travel back in time would be able to attend. – “I have experimental evidence that time travel is not possible.” -Hawking
My lonely non-time traveller attended party was also only attended by me, an amazing creative photographer @raymesilverberg and an elusive bartender that came in to set up early at the speakeasy.
Not one random guest…unless the bartender…
Beware of hitching a ride with a time travelling bartender. They can make you forget entire periods of your life.
