He was funny, a real prankster, kind, innovative, adventurous, outspoken and loved life! While on the road he invited me to sing on his first solo album – UNTAPPED. We had a blast in the studio and remained friends until he made his finally journey to rest. I was a child when I first saw him in the original Broadway cast of The Wiz, with Stephanie Mills, Ted Ross & Tiger Haynes. He was incredible and I was immediately certain that I wanted to be on stage just like them! It was a full circle moment to meet and work with him all those years later.
