Emily Calandrelli Instagram – People are reporting seeing Northern Lights all the way down in FLORIDA!!! I’m so jealous!!! The shape and the pattern of the auroras are still being studied, so in many ways this is still a bit of a mystery to scientists. Individuals have nothing to worry about (except for maybe an overzealous mom who wakes them up at 3am to look at the sky), but satellite operators follow this quite closely as those “burps” can harm their tech. It’s one of the many reasons it’s important to study and understand our nearest star, the Sun! ☀️ #aurora
