Emily Kinney Instagram – You may immediately recognize @emmykinney from her role as Beth Greene on AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” but with her upcoming fifth album “Swimteam” she’s firmly establishing herself as an accomplished songwriter as well. The lightly grungy sounds of lead single “Walkin’ Round Your Dreams” and the more laid-back acoustic swells of its follow-up “False Start” provide an alluring taste of the new LP dropping September 22 via Julian Records.

We’re thrilled that Kinnney is taking over FLOOD FM this week to give us a sense of what she’s had on repeat lately on a new episode of “Hacked.” You can hear Kinney spin a wide variety of indie-folk and dance music ranging from the early ’10s to today—Robyn, Frightened Rabbit, Joy Oladokun, and Samia all make appearances on the songwriter/actress’ playlist.
