As a girl I always dreamed of being my own boss. I wanted to live in a big city, but be able to go home to see my family whenever I wanted. One of my favorite things about growing up in the south is the way women there encourage and support one another. I’m posting today in support of girls everywhere #vowforgirls Every 3 seconds a child becomes a bride, but all girls deserve the chance to dream. For #dayofthegirl let’s ✋stop the clock and start a new future for girls.
Last night was the closest I’ll ever get to winning an Emmy for reading aloud on television. Thank you to Aaron Sorkin for including me as the narrator for the West Wing When We All Vote special and to #eveningbefore @mptf for hosting such a lovely party Saturday night.
