The WaterAid Garden celebrates our most precious resource- 💦 water 💧

Inspired by the essential work that @wateraid is doing keeping clean water flowing whatever the weather (and toilets) to communities around the world.
1 in 10 people don’t have clean water close to their homes and a shocking 1.5 billion don’t have a decent toilet.
The climate crisis is 90% water related with extreme droughts and floods making it harder for people to access clean water.
This garden harnesses the power of rainwater and has a glorious shade-creating, rainwater- harvesting pavilion which channels rainwater down into massive tanks for future use. #it highlights the importance of sustainable water management to combat climate change.
That lovely tree in the middle is an Alder tree which can absorb nitrogen and toxic heavy metals improving soil health and fertility! Nature is amazing.
The garden will be rehomed to a community as yet unannounced after the flower show to inspire future generations.

It was funded by @project.giving.back a grant giving charity who give organisations the opportunity to exhibit at Chelsea Flower Show.
I got to step inside in a pretty dress and see it’s glory on a sunny day; learn about WaterAid’s incredible work and meet the amazing people who made it. Lucky me.
