Jackée Harry Instagram – I’m so incredibly saddened to hear of Tony Bennett’s passing. He was my mother’s absolute favorite singer! She used to play “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” all the time, so when I hear Tony — I also hear mom. Today, I had an MRI. And I won’t lie to ya, I was a bit nervous! But they gave me some headphones to help with the noise and asked what I wanted to hear. Of course, I said Tony. They put his catalogue on shuffle and the first words I heard were, “the loveliness of Paris…” It was my mother’s favorite song. My soul was instantly at peace. Isn’t it amazing what music can do? Rest peacefully, Anthony Benedetto. Thank you for providing the soundtrack to our lives.
