Jade Tailor Instagram – Today was International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Did you know that this song was also sung by many as they both went into the gas chambers during the Holocaust, AND it was also sung as Jews were being freed from the concentration camps. This speaks volumes to never losing hope, no matter the circumstance.
While in Israel I sung Hatikvah to commemorate 100 days of the hostages being held captive at the International School in Tel Aviv with my friend @ido.montaniez on the piano. Hatikvah translates to The Hope, something I think we all need more of right now.
Please note (since I have been so disappointed in peoples lack of awareness, care and compassion today, and it seems that once again I must clarify and combat people misguided and misdirected hate)… just because I am mourning and grieving the suffering of my people does not then negate another’s suffering. I have hope (just as my grandparents fought for), that we will find safety, and people once more. I stand with ALL people. I stand for and with Israel always and that includes all innocent people from the region. My HOPE is that you will learn to stand with all people as well.
