Jana Schmieding Instagram – I made this lemon raspberry cake yesterday and as I was taking these pictures of said cake, Sazi had somehow snuck out my screen door onto the balcony (his favorite place), climbed up the lattice and slipped off! The fool fell two stories down and landed on concrete. Wilma bolted inside and telepathically yelled to me, “HE FELL!” So I went down, found him cowering under a car and picked him up. He seemed fine – was def in shock and trying to dissociate from the event, so I called Steve who rushed over to pick us up and take us to Burbank Animal Urgent Care. They were great there and of course loved Sazi because he’s such a good orange boi. (I pity the vet who has to treat Wilma – she’s a wild beast.) They gave him X-rays and painkillers that turned him into Gary Busey for a few hours and then Steve and I gave him lots and lots of cuddles and carries. Anyway, Sazi is fine, my cake is delicious, and I’m only somewhat traumatized.
