Jeannie Elise Mai Instagram – Happy new year from the Mai sisters 🇻🇳✨ ended 2023 in the motherland with incredible views & newfound insights 🤍 being the first American born of my ancestry is a privilege I don’t take for granted. with everything happening in the world atm, it feels heartbreaking to be as privileged as i am. traveling is truly a powerfully humbling, transformative experience. the less I think about myself & become more conscious of how others live, I find myself genuinely embodying a deeper frequency of love & awareness that I’ve never accessed before in America. it hurts to feel the truth of what my privilege means, yet I’ve never felt this empowered to be of service as an artist. from the native mountains of Sa Pa, to visiting orphanages, to witnessing wealth disparities in the city, my mission continues to strengthen. bringing this knowledge back to America to start off 2024 & continuing to spread empathy & kindness has brought me greater purpose.
