Jessica Yellin Instagram – Arizona Court Bans and Criminalizes Abortion The Arizona Supreme Court today banned and criminalized abortion in the state and ruled that life begins at conception based on a centuries old abortion law. How did we get here? After Roe v wade was overturned Arizona passed a 15 week abortion ban. It was challenged in court with some arguing that the original 1864 ban should be enforced instead. Today the justices agreed. The justices wrote: “Physicians are now on notice that all abortions, except those necessary to save a woman’s life, are illegal.” The justices gave a lower court two weeks to weigh in.
