Jessica Yellin Instagram – MASSIVE FLOODING IN BRAZIL Days of heavy rain have flooded southern Brazil, displacing over 150,000 people and killing at least 85. Over 130 are missing. Entire towns are under water in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. The governor of Rio Grande do Sul called this “the worst disaster ever registered” in his state. Lakes and rivers have overflowed, bursting at least one dam and inundating homes, highways, and airports. More heavy rains are expected to continue this week. Brazil’s President Lula declared an emergency in the state which should free up emergency relief funding, pending approval by Brazil’s legislature.
