Joanne Peh Instagram – Every Mother’s Day, I find myself swept up in a wave of emotion, reflecting on the journey of motherhood. I remember those early days, holding my newborn, flooded with self doubt of whether I’ll know a mother is supposed to do, devouring every book on child development I could find, and wondering about the life I might have had without them. When they were toddlers, time seemed to pause with every cry and laugh, their needs so immediate and clear. Now, as they grow more independent, the days and months fly by, yet the challenges only grow. They come home with a wider range of experiences and more complex emotions, and sometimes I struggle to find the right words in response. There are moments I doubt my answers are good enough. But this journey is about learning—learning from those who’ve walked this path before, and learning to forgive my own mistakes.
